IMMORAL TALES
CONTES IMMORAUX
1974, IFC Midnight, 103 min, France, Dir: Walerian Borowczyk

Director Walerian Borowczyk’s stylish anthology is comprised of four erotic vignettes going back through the ages - a contemporary take on sexual initiation, a look at a 19th-century teen who finds ways to amuse herself when locked in her room, the final bloodbath of 17th-century countess Elizabeth Báthory (Paloma Picasso in her sole screen appearance) and an incestuous triangle involving Lucrezia Borgia (Florence Bellamy) and her father, Pope Alexander VI (Jacopo Berinizi).
